I've just bought the "BOSCH Automotive Handbook", 5:th editition.

An amazing little handbook, containing all kinds of information that may have a 
bearing in the automotive world, 960 pages.

Highly recommended for reference.

Did you know that osmium and iridium are heavier metals than tungsten? They are 
about three times as heavy as iron, and would probably make excellent weights 
for crank balancing.

Or that the AFR for toluen is 13.4:1 for lambda 1? And that it has a boiling 
temp of 110°C?
